Looking around the world for magic is to make the same mistake as denying that there is any magic in the world, for it is to have the same mistaken idea of the wondrous.
What if what is most wondrous in the world is quite ordinary, is ever before us? Then rooting around for the magical is just one more attempt to push away the wonder.
